Dr. Jeremy Varga, DVM

Dr. Jeremy Varga joined the AVDH team in 2008 and became a partner in 2011. He was awarded top surgeon in Texas A&M 2008 graduating class. Dr. Varga’s enthusiasm in embracing technology and his commitment to excellence makes him a rising star in national veterinary medicine.
Dr. Varga trained under the neurosurgeon, Dr. Jonathan Levine at the Texas A&M Department of Veterinary Small Animals College of Veterinary Medicine. During which time he learned how to perform surgical hemilaminectomies, a procedure which repairs backs in companion animals. He routinely performs this procedure in parlayed patients enabling them to walk again. Reading and performing ultrasounds and CTs are an essential part in veterinary diagnostics. As such, Dr. Varga received his training under Board Certified Radiologist, Dr. Robert Cole of Animal Imaging, Irvine, Texas. Dr. Varga also has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and endodontics. He was instrumental in implementing AVDH’s digital dental x-ray procedures and equipment. He has attended advanced courses in:

- Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) Cruciate Repair
- Small Animal Orthopedics and Implants
- Wet Chemistry Hematology and Serology

When not working, Dr. Varga spends time with his wife, Abby and their son, Ethan. In keeping with the AVDH tradition of multiple pets, the Vargas’ also are parents to two cats and an energetic Vizsla named Izzy.
