Treatment: Imaging and Surgery Comments: Raven, a 5 year old male Dachshund presented for an arched back, inactivity and severe pain when picked up. He had been on pain medication for 2 weeks with no responds. Follow Up Care: A CT of his back revealed a herniated disk in the thoracic spine. He underwent surgery to decompress the spinal cord. Updates: At his one week recheck, he was running all over the exam room and his owners were extremely happy. Now they just have to keep him from chasing their other 5 dogs. |
