Urinary diseases are some of the most common and severe diseases found
in pets. Because of the ability of the urinary system to function
with disease, they often go unnoticed until they become life-threatening.
| What are the symptoms?:
|
Kidney disease causes excess water consumption, excess
urination, weight loss, loss of appetite, and lethargy.
Bladder disease is indicated by blood in the urine, strained
urination, frequent urination, and/or foul smelling urine.
Prostate disease can occur in the dog and is seen as
painful urination, straining to urinate or defecate, blood in
the urine and/or dripping blood. |
The keys to sucessfully treating these conditions are early diagnosis
and treatment. However, without advanced technology, urinary tract
diseases are difficult to accurately diagnose.
A complete urinary tract profile is very affordable and ultimately
less expensive and more effective than initiating treatment with an
incomplete diagnosis. At OSVDH, we are well-equipped on the premises
